OPT’s 3D camera portfolio is organized around the major industrial sensing routes: laser profile cameras for scanning and micrometer-level measurement, projected structured-light cameras for one-shot high-precision reconstruction, speckle/RGB-D cameras for large field-of-view depth and color capture, and ToF cameras for high-frame-rate perception.

Product architecture
The product line is designed as a hardware and software suite rather than a set of isolated sensors. Camera families cover close-range high-precision measurement, large-format depth acquisition, 2D/3D aligned inspection, and robot guidance. The Smart3 algorithm platform connects the camera output to visual workflow design, point-cloud processing, measurement tools, and production deployment.

Technology routes
Laser profile cameras emphasize mature motion-assisted measurement with um-level precision. Projected structured light emphasizes one-shot reconstruction and high repeatability for static or indexed parts. Speckle/RGB-D cameras emphasize wide field-of-view capture, RGB-depth alignment, and cost-effective logistics or robot-vision use cases.

System deployment
The camera line is paired with the Smart3 visual algorithm platform, allowing inspection workflows to be configured with camera acquisition, preprocessing, point-cloud reconstruction, measurement, defect detection, and user-defined visualization.
