I lead R&D at OPT Machine Vision's Japan branch, where I work on machine-vision algorithms and 3D imaging systems that ship as part of the SciVision SDK.
Before OPT, I was a postdoc at Shenzhen University and collaborator at South China University of Technology, working on learning-based 3D vision. I earned my Ph.D. from Singapore University of Technology and Design (2018) on sequencing in transformations of rasterized 3D models, after undergraduate training in Optical Engineering at Zhejiang University’s Chu Kochen Honors College. I also spent a year as a visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo working on computational design for textile/knit pattern retrieval.
